The Corporate Development and Edward Jones Ventures team is a critical enabler of Edward Jones' enterprise strategy, delivering upon new growth areas and news ways to achieve our purpose and delivery on our strategic ambition in service of our clients, colleagues, and communities. The team leads the development and execution of all inorganic activity at Edward Jones, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, large-scale partnerships, and new business incubations. In addition, the team focuses on unlocking new areas of growth that can have a transformative impact on the future of the firm. The Senior Associate is a critical member of this team that helps execute these initiatives.

- Interface with business and functional leaders to support all areas of inorganic growth - from idea to business case to deal execution - taking a holistic cross-functional approach
- Assist in the M&A and Strategic Investing process, including sourcing, qualification, initial rationale, financial modeling, due diligence, and closing activities
- Coordinate cross-functional deal teams with internal and external partners
- Develop complex valuation models and prepare valuation analysis, incorporating DCF, trading & transaction comparables, and other valuation methods
- Support the development of robust frameworks and models to evaluate inorganic growth opportunities
- 3 years of relevant work experience in Corporate Development, M&A Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Management Consulting
- Excellent written, verbal, and interprersonal communication skills with acute ability to listen attentively and communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial openness and ability to explore new possibilities and to approach issues differently - intellectually agile
- Strong understanding of complex financial / investment concepts, financial modeling, valuation
