Team Overview:
The DDO Risk organization works together to identify, manage, and elevate the top risks of the Firm's Digital, Data, and Operations (DDO) divisions by consistently applying the Enterprise Risk Management framework, derived from the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), across all three divisions. Our goal is to create alignment, transparency and visibility into top risks and mitigation plans. This position is aligned to the Governance & Reporting team within the Risk Enablement vertical of DDO Risk. The Governance & Reporting team is focused on establishing governance and reporting structures to ensure leader visibility into top risks while developing risk profiles in Digital, Data and Operations, in alignment with Enterprise Risk Management. Other teams in Risk Enablement lead risk consultation and assessment execution for the Operations Transformation and AI efforts.
What You'll Do:
The Senior Risk & Control Associate in DDO Risk is responsible for proactively identifying impactful opportunities where analytics and business intelligence visualizations can inform the business and provide actionable insights to support business decisions and long-term strategy development. Responsible for the execution of divisional risk analytics and risk reporting. This role involves developing and delivering comprehensive risk reports and insightful analytics to support decision-making and risk management processes. Requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings effective to senior management and other stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

- Build and maintain an understanding of data flows, sources, and data transformations across multiple domains.
- Define business and data requirements for reporting
- Analyze data to identify trends, underlying issues and/or meaningful insights, and generate digestible reporting that divisional leadership can use to enable informed risk decision-making
- Engage and consult in the division's implementation and use of the firm's GRC Tool
- Lead the development and monitoring of KPIs and benchmarks, including the ability to communicate results to senior leaders.
- Serve as a technical and functional data subject matter expert
- Build and maintain a strong knowledge of data sets available. Extract, cleanse and transform data to support analysis needs. Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues
- Act as resource to team and assists divisional team members
- Stays informed on risk industry and educational/development opportunities
- Ensures that DDO Risk reporting adheres to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) reporting standards
- Build and manage a Key Risk Indicator (KRI) program for the Digital, Data, and Operations divisions

- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- 6 years' experience in risk management, including:
- Strong analytical, critical and systems thinking
- Ability to research industry best practices and apply to work.
- Ability to draw insights from and/or identify outliers in data sets and generate action via reporting
- Analytical, problem-solving and systems thinking skills including the ability to independently identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate, and/or resolve issues, including root cause analysis.
- Proficient with visualization tools with a preference towards Power BI
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor communication based on the audience
- Experience building reporting that requires connections and querying multiple data sources and applications and to assimilate this information into a reportable form
- Ability to strategically plan and effectively execute on assigned projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, as well as other software programs and databases
What Could Set You Apart:
- Proficiency and experience building solutions and executive/senior level reporting using SharePoint, Power BI and Tableau
- Prior experience as part of a dedicated first line of defense risk management function, including leading risk assessments.
- Proficiency interacting and querying various database and file storage systems
- Experience using Microsoft's Power BI service capabilities, such as Dataflows and Datamarts, as well as experience with Power Automate
