Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Nondestructive Tester at Civilian USAF in Edwards, CA. The Nondestructive Tester will be responsible for conducting nondestructive testing on various Aerospace Platforms to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The role will involve using a wide array of NDI methods such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, and Joint Analysis (JOAP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, and liquid penetrant testing
- Knowledge of material properties and quality control standards
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Certification in Nondestructive Testing (e.g., NAS 410 Level II certification) preferred
- OJT hours must be able to be validated per NAS 410 Requirements
- Ability to interpret test results accurately and make recommendations based on findings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical dexterity and ability to work with various testing equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus
