Position Overview:
Edwards Design & Construction is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Commercial Dump Truck Driver to join our construction team. This role involves operating a dump truck to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and debris to and from job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a dump truck to haul construction materials to designated locations
- Inspect truck daily and perform routine maintenance checks
- Load and unload materials according to project specifications
- Follow all DOT and company safety protocols and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors
- Assist on-site crews as needed with basic labor tasks during downtime
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL – Class A)
- Clean driving record (MVR will be checked)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on active construction sites
- Familiarity with local job sites and haul routes
- OSHA 10 certification (a plus, not required)
