We are a Maryland-based office furniture dealership seeking an experienced Lead Furniture Installer to join our team. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
As a Lead Furniture Installer, you will collaborate with the Project Team—including Sales Staff, Project Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and Designers—to ensure the successful ordering, delivery, installation, reconfiguration, and disposal of furniture. You will lead the installation team, manage operations, and oversee project execution to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in planning, directing, and coordinating furniture-related activities.
- Supervise and schedule installation and moving crews.
- Manage project organization, scheduling, and implementation, including punch list completion.
- Take accurate measurements and create site drawings for furniture installations.
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management software (Team Design).
- Ensure all furniture projects meet high standards of quality and are completed on time.
- Demonstrate mechanical proficiency in assembling, disassembling, and reconfiguring furniture.
- 2–5 years of experience in the furniture industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; willingness to learn Team Design software.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Physical ability to lift over 50 lbs and perform hands-on installation tasks.
- Valid driver’s license, Social Security card, and U.S. citizenship required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Ability to drive a 24-foot straight truck (non-CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Hourly pay: $18–$25, based on experience.
