We are seeking a Cloud Developer to join our Information Technology team at Guy Carpenter, a leader in the insurance industry. In this role, you will collaborate on cloud-based projects, develop innovative data solutions, and contribute to scalable designs that support critical business use cases. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop cloud-native data solutions using Azure technologies to address various business challenges.
Participate in solution architecture discussions and implement scalable, high-performance designs.
Collaborate with teams across projects to provide technical expertise in all phases, including analysis, development, testing, and deployment .
Develop robust, cloud-based applications while adhering to Agile / SCRUM methodologies.
Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests using tools like Postman and Fiddler to ensure solution quality.
Drive continuous improvement through CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub .
Technical Skills Required
Strong expertise with Azure platform and Azure cloud-native services , including :
Azure Data Factory , Azure Logic Apps , Azure Functions , Azure Service Bus , Azure SQL Database , Databricks .
Experience with programming languages , particularly JavaScript (3 years).
Proficiency in SQL functions , queries, and NoSQL databases .
Familiarity with backend systems and queuing technologies .
Experience working with Agile development practices and CI / CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps , GitHub ).
Knowledge of testing tools ( Postman , Fiddler , etc.) for unit, integration, and system testing .
Preferred Skills Certifications
Experience with PostgreSQL , MongoDB , Azure Data Lake , Azure API Management , Azure Storage , Azure Active Directory , and SharePoint .
Knowledge of identity and access management tools , such as Okta .
Certifications (preferred) : Azure Fundamentals
Azure Developer Associate
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology , Computer Science , or a related field.
5 years of overall experience, including at least :
2 years of experience with Azure cloud services development .
3 years of programming experience with JavaScript .
Strong analytical, problem-solving , and communication skills with the ability to interact with business stakeholders.
Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision while taking ownership of complex assignments.
