As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Edwards Vacuum, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing and implementing effective supplier management strategies. Your key responsibilities will include:
Main Duties:
- Developing a comprehensive strategic sourcing roadmap, including defined commodity strategies, supplier onboarding, management, and exit.
- Driving constant cost/supply chain improvement of products within your responsibility, with a focus on identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and reduced costs.
- Aligning with the Quality Team to ensure suppliers meet/exceed quality targets, defining and taking action where necessary.
- Creating and driving solutions to improve on-time-delivery (OTD) and lead times with external vendors.
- Implementing cost reduction strategies across the supplier base using a Total Cost of Ownership model.
- Working directly with the Purchase Planning Team to ensure purchasing and stocking strategies align with corporate working capital targets.
- Coordinating with the Engineering Team on design specifications for approved parts.
- Negotiating Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) with key suppliers.
- Creating, managing, and communicating RFQs for both new and existing products.
- Coordination and communication with internal stakeholders for parts allocation and vendor performance improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Quality, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales.
