The First National Bank of Eagle Lake is hiring a Business Development Officer who is responsible for developing, managing and servicing a portfolio of clients while maintaining a high level of quality customer service in compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures. This position will call on existing and prospective clients while generating new client leads to increase the volume of commercial and consumer business (loans, deposits and other services) in the community. Responsible for meeting established bank goals for loans and deposits through active participation in sales management and officer call programs. As an officer of the Bank, you are expected to maintain your current good standing in the community. On occasion and after hours, you will be required to attend industry and community meetings and functions as a Bank representative. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to : Officers are responsible for sound underwriting and correctly documenting the loan file, including compliance and all applicable banking regulations. Exceptions to policy or documentation standards are to be detailed on approval documents to avoid any aura of dishonesty by an officer. Promoting a favorable image of the Bank to potential and existing customers at all times. Pursuing business development opportunities that benefit the Bank and the communities it serves. Also asking the questions is there a good chance to build a lasting relationship with the Bank and an opportunity for many future transactions Obtain other business as a result of the loan, such as affiliate accounts, personal accounts and other business referrals. Staying informed of all lending activities of the Bank, including policies, underwriting guidelines and procedures established by the Bank in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. Remaining apprised of local and national economic conditions; and promptly reporting to an immediate supervisor or Senior Management : Any adverse events or information that could have a material effect on a customer relationship; or Any event or situation that could be a conflict of interest. Supervision – You will report directly to EVP / Chief Lending Officer of The First National Bank of Eagle Lake. It is extremely important to maintain a good working relationship with all departments as this is crucial for our mutual success.
