What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Vehicle Driver position at EF Education First?
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License within the proper class;
- Possession of a safe driving record, undergo a drivers history check via DMV;
- Knowledge of basic first aid practices, procedures, and techniques;
- Knowledge of safe driving practices;
- Ability to read and write at a level necessary to successfully perform the required duties;
- Ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions in an independent manner;
- Ability to establish and maintain proper student conduct on school vehicle;
- Ability to drive a school van safely and efficiently;
- Ability to exercise good judgment and extreme caution while driving;
- Ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform required duties;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with those contacted in the performance of required duties;
- Be a motivated and flexible team player that is ready to work towards the good of the community.
- Drives a school van within a prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedules;
- Transports students and teachers on field trips and excursions to various locations;
- Maintains order and proper discipline of student passengers according to school policy;
- Conducts safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle before departure;
- Reports needed mechanical repairs when necessary;
- Fill the gas tank when needed;
- Completes periodic mileage and other reports including passenger counts;
- Attends various meetings regarding safety, first aid and training updates as required by the school;
- Operates a two-way radio;
- Performs other related duties as required.
