EFJohnson provides wireless communications products and systems for public safety, commercial, and government customers. We design, manufacture, and market conventional and trunked radio systems, land mobile radio repeaters and mobile and portable radios, including Project 25 digital radio products.
REPORTING ANALYST
The Reporting Analyst is a high-visibility position, responsible for managing and updating our financial reporting processes, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity in reports provided to our parent company. This strategic position combines technical expertise in financial reporting with analytical problem-solving to support critical decision-making. As a key liaison between our company and parent organization, this position requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. In addition, this role will support the Finance team with account reconciliations, ad-hoc analyses, and other finance projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare, review, and update month-end financial reports for submission to our parent company.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reports and manage communication regarding any follow-up questions or analyses.
- Collaborate with the Accounting and Finance teams to gather data, validate figures, and analyze monthly variances.
- Develop and enhance reporting processes, leveraging tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software.
- Prepare weekly/monthly metrics reports.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting processes and solutions.
- Support management with ad-hoc analyses, data requests, and custom reporting as needed.
- Maintain and update financial models.
- Identify areas for automation and efficiency within the reporting process, recommending and implementing solutions.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports, providing insights and explanations of key financial metrics and trends.
- Support compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements in all reporting functions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Must be proficient with Excel and willing to learn other packages.
- SQL and ERP experience a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present data effectively.
