We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg team at our facility in Chicago, IL. The RN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic medical/surgical environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg setting.
- Perform assessments, develop nursing care plans, and administer treatments according to patient needs.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and family members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with team members to improve patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
- Document all nursing interventions and patient progress in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois.
- 1 years of acute care experience in a Med/Surg setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage a heavy patient load while maintaining high standards of care.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Experience with EMR systems is preferred.

Pay: $58.00 - $62.00 per hour
