Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer with Cloud Database Experience (PostgreSQL)
- 5 years DevOps experience with AWS Cloud services with strong familiarity with automating cloud databases like AWS RDS PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Ability to write scripts (e.g. in Python) to create snapshots of specific databases within an RDS instance and for rehydrating those snapshots in other DB instances.
- Candidate will create mechanisms and workflows for doing granular backups of specific databases within an RDS / AURORA instance and allow for rehydrating those backups.
- Candidate should have ability to work in GitOps pipelines and develop automation approaches.
- Candidate will be willing to propose solutions that leverage AWS serverless solutions as well as help design database solution that optimize availability, cost, performance dimensions.
