Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Specialist I to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, members, and healthcare providers. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, triaging calls, and assisting with pre-certification to ensure proper health insurance coverage. With the aid of data and technology, you will act as a liaison to deliver a high-value, personalized experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients, members, and healthcare providers.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently.
- Triage phone calls and direct them appropriately.
- Conduct health insurance verifications and pre-certification processes.
- Utilize healthcare technology systems to maintain accurate records and streamline workflows.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Experience scheduling radiology diagnostic tests (e.g., mammogram, DEXA, X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine).
- Knowledge of health insurance verification processes.
