Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CVOR Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care in the cardiovascular specialty and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including physical examinations, health history, and necessary diagnostic tests.
• Surgical Support: Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare the operating room, ensuring all equipment is sterile and ready for use.
• Anesthesia Assistance: Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia and monitoring patient vital signs throughout the procedure.
• Intraoperative Care: Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures, including monitoring hemodynamic status and responding to changes in patient conditions.
• Postoperative Care: Manage patient recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), ensuring safe transition and continuity of care.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families about pre-operative preparations, postoperative care, and lifestyle changes related to cardiac health.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices in patient safety and infection control.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) will be considered with relevant experience.
• Min of 2 years of experience within specialty.

Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [Your State].
