Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. This position is essential for ensuring patients receive the care and support they need during their hospital stay or clinic visits, particularly in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center or teaching hospital.
Duties
- Assist nursing staff in delivering patient care by performing basic clinical tasks and supporting daily activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Help patients with personal hygiene needs, mobility assistance, and daily living activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care in medical-surgical units, geriatrics, and outpatient clinics.
- Participate in patient education initiatives to promote health awareness and self-care practices.
