What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Scrum Master position at Efficus Inc.?
The Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting complex projects/products and programs using pre-existing knowledge, skills, templates, and expertise in various organizational and implementation methodologies. They will support all phases of the project/product lifecycle using project/product management practices. This position is responsible for concurrently managing multiple projects/products with multiple teams across multiple business areas in a matrixed reporting structure.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews to ensure that the team is following Agile principles.
- Coach the team on Agile best practices and Scrum methodology, ensuring they are continually improving and delivering value efficiently.
- Remove obstacles that may hinder the team s progress, facilitating quick resolutions and maintaining team focus.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the team s backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with stakeholder requirements and business priorities.
- Ensure team collaboration and communication, helping the team members to work together and resolve conflicts when necessary.
- Help manage and prioritize the product backlog by working with the Product Owner and stakeholders to ensure that work is aligned with business goals.
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile and Scrum processes, continuously improving delivery practices and ensuring quality and performance metrics are met.
- Monitor team performance and facilitate discussions on improving processes, addressing issues that may affect team velocity and quality.
- Support the team in delivering value by helping them maintain focus on the goals, and ensuring that work is completed according to the established acceptance criteria.
- Promote a culture of accountability and self-organization, empowering the team to make decisions while ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Provide regular updates on the progress of sprints, including managing the team s burn-down charts and other relevant metrics.
- Ensure that all sprint deliverables are completed according to the expected quality, timelines, and service level commitments.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Agile/Scrum methodology, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Experience working in the healthcare insurance industry is required.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, etc.) and Scrum practices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and guide teams towards continuous improvement.
