JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the ECB Occupational Manager, the Occupational Medicine Clinician will perform the registration for patients presenting for services, administer charges for procedures, maintain documentation, be willing for on the job training in Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with The Joint Commission, OSHA, DOT, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Must communicate with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. Position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Performs registration for all patients presenting for service.
- Uses appropriate clinical judgment in delivering care and in emergency situations.
- Obtains, inputs, and transcribes accurate patient data in a timely manner.
- Completes necessary forms including proper documentation/signatures, insurance information, either on paper, or on scanner.
- Enters data into the computer with minimal errors.
- Performs as a cashier for payments and maintains cash receipts with accuracy.
- Scan of all records into electronic medical records.
- Perform DOT, Non-DOT and E-screen Drug testing with proper technique and competency.
- Perform Breath Alcohol testing with proper technique and competency.
- Performs Audio-testing with competency.
- Order or administers immunizations as ordered by physicians and may be required by regulatory agencies and infection control policies.
- Understands the process for following up with the Physician/provider.
- Uses proper technique to perform Phlebotomy for blood collection.
- Answers telephone(s) using appropriate Customer Service skills.
- Schedules appointments for the ECB OM department.
- Act as an ambassador for the facility by interacting with clients, family members, and staff in a friendly caring manner.
- Ensures adherence to proper infection control, OSHA and safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned/needed/required.
- Provides support for other team members when needed.

- All employees must wear proper PPE based on their designated Job Title:
Materials Management, Environmental Services, and Maintenance staff must wear back brace while lifting anything 25 pounds or higher.
Care Center direct resident care staff must wear a back brace and gait belt at all times while on duty.
Clinical staff are required to wear proper PPE designated to their function and duties.
- All employees are required to identify a financial institution for direct deposit of pay before the start of employment and during employment tenure.
Requirements
Minimum Level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of high school, and completion of Licensed Practical Nurse Training course or Registered Nurse.
Formal Training: Management skills with experience in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, interviewing, counseling, and verbal and written communications.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Must have and maintain an unencumbered current Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse license or Registered Nurse license, or Medical Assistant Certification, and Basic Life Support CPR certification.
Work Experience: Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
