Title: Project Manager, New Builds (Store Design & Construction)

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

As the Project Manager, New Build Construction, you will be a key player in planning the design & construction of our brand-new retail stores aboard cruise ships. Working closely with our Cruise Line partners, you will oversee all phases of planning and ensure proper streamlines of communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role will report to the Senior Project Manager of Store Design & Construction, working cross functionally with multiple departments to plan and execute a successful store opening.

This role will be onsite at our NYC HQ office.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning the life cycle of all New Build projects, working closely with our Design team, Cruise line partners, and our external Contractors.
• Attend meetings with Cruise line partners as the Effy main point of contact. Note all project requirements and distribute information to all stakeholders as necessary and in a timely manner.
• Conduct Design team kick offs to establish Design Intent packages for approval from internal stakeholders and cruise line partners. Ship safety and accessibility compliance must be met.
• Coordinate white box responsibilities while ensuring all electrical needs and other operational requirements are up to code.
• Work with Contractor and Cruise Line partner to map out 12 month timeline to hit milestones including on-site inspections, design share-outs, installation deadlines, and turnover dates.
• Assess scope of work decks against yearly approved Cap Ex to ensure all project budgets are within allocated parameters. Work with Design Team to Value Engineer materials as needed.
• Develop and manage project schedules within Asana, while adjusting and prioritizing where needed.
• Partner with Finance Manager to upkeep the Store Design & Construction yearly Cap Ex tracker.

Who You Are:

• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and oversee several projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn the intricacies of cruise construction
• Comfortable traveling (as needed) for on-site meetings
• Proactive attitude vs. reactive (aka: go getter)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Collaborative team player with ability to seek out answers independently but not afraid to ask questions.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years proven or direct Project Management experience.
• 1-3 years' experience in Store Design and/or Construction Management
• Cruise industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience budget tracking.
• Experience with Asana preferred.
