Assistant Project Manager
Description:
We are seeking a game changer to support our Project Managers and field teams in ensuring seamless execution of bids and projects. This role involves actively tracking project schedules, budgets, and overall performance. You will collaborate closely with the estimation and operations teams, providing updates, identifying obstacles, and ensuring smooth communication across electrical and insulation crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in bid walks and gather customer requests for project estimates
- Support the Superintendent with tracking field performance
- Provide project updates to customers and address any concerns
- Track job performance and report to the Project Manager (PM)
- Review all estimates with the PM and estimation team
- Manage Time & Materials (T&M) projects, including invoicing
- Assist with material purchasing and coordinate releases from vendors
- Maintain an active presence in ongoing projects
- Develop schedules for the Field Superintendent
- Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) activities
- Communicate personnel needs for upcoming projects
- Skills & Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Must have Electrical Estimation Experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively and uphold company standards
- Adaptable to customer demands and project changes
- Familiarity with Accubid, Sage 100, would be huge bonus!
