Job Overview
The Banquet Captain plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of banquet events. This position involves overseeing the setup, execution, and breakdown of events while providing exceptional service to guests. Duties

  • Lead and manage banquet staff during events to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, ensuring all equipment is in place and functioning properly.
  • Assist with menu planning and catering logistics to meet client needs.
  • Train and mentor staff on service standards, POS systems, and event procedures.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in team management within the hospitality or food industry.
  • Knowledge of catering operations and casual dining environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and staff.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management principles and shift management practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
  • Previous experience with POS systems is preferred but not mandatory.
