Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is in good working order.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and delivering drinks promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using cash registers or Aloha POS systems, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and local regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders when applicable.
- Assist in training new staff members on bar operations and customer service standards.
- Monitor guest behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of customer service principles.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures, including retail math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain health standards within the bar area.
- Experience with Aloha POS systems or similar cash register systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided as needed.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours while maintaining quality service.
