Position Summary:
We are looking for an energetic, motivated, and self-driven Creative Design and Media Intern, who can help us create visually compelling imagery and graphics, as well as engaging video content to capture the attention of our team members and guests. Join a collaborative team of content creators to tell compelling stories and raise awareness about companywide initiatives, while inspiring and promoting our values and culture, and strengthening the EG America brand internally.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the latest design software, be a strong communicator and collaborator, and be able to use their own design and creative skills to conceptualize and create content that reinforces the great work happening every day across our convenience store brands.
1. Film and edit video content for our internal communication platforms; draft dialogue and talking points for scripted videos as needed.
2. Conceptualize and complete all elements of video projects including background visuals, animations, graphics, sound effects and music.
3. Use creative storytelling, including sequencing, timing, and editing techniques, to engage and entertain team members.
4. Develop eye catching imagery and animations for presentations, posters, and emails.
5. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop videos and graphics, as needed.
6. Develop creative and innovative design concepts, layouts, and visual assets for various projects that may include logos, internal materials, website pages, etc.
7. Support other members of the Communication team on projects, as needed.
Working Relationships: Communications team members and other key internal stakeholders.
Minimum Education: Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in multimedia design, graphic design, visual arts, or related field.
Minimum Experience:
- Proven work experience as a graphic designer and video editor, with a portfolio of work to share.
- Proficiency in graphic design software and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other tools, as well as PowerPoint and Excel.
- Solid understanding of design principles and layout composition, as well as motion graphics, visual effects, and audio and video editing.
- Creative thinker and enthusiastic storyteller who can translate concepts into visually appealing designs and emotionally engaging videos.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with an eye for aesthetics.
- Adaptable and willing to incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Photography skills and drone experience is a plus.

Travel: No travel required
Hours & Conditions: Typically Monday – Friday, 8 hour days in office setting
Physical Requirements: Minimal physical effort required; sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time. Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.
