Role Description
The Medical Technologist at EG BioMed US Inc., located in Bothell, WA, is responsible for performing high-complexity testing and analysis utilizing advanced molecular diagnostic techniques. This role requires maintaining rigorous laboratory standards, ensuring the accuracy of test results, and supporting the development of innovative diagnostic solutions. The Medical Technologist will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the enhancement of laboratory processes and the overall mission of delivering reliable diagnostic services.
This is an exciting opportunity to actively participate in the development and expansion of a clinical laboratory. You’ll work closely with our consultant, expansion team, and overseas team in Taiwan to support the lab's growth and development. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact while gaining hands-on experience.
The shift for this position will be Monday – Friday, 9 am – 6 pm, with flexibility based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of daily molecular pathology activities, from pre-analytical to reporting.
- Operate sample preparation, extraction and real-time PCR analysis according to established SOPs.
- Maintain high standards of quality and laboratory safety.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with other departments.
- Conduct quality control procedures for tests, check standard curves, controls, and reagents, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures to correct deficiencies or problems with instruments and equipment.
- Document quality control records in an appropriate manner.
- Address analytical and system performance appropriately.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors to initiate maintenance or repairs of instruments.
- Communicate effectively with internal personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity test in high complexity testing MTS/CLIA/CAP laboratory.
- Preferred experience in Molecular Pathology.
