What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Specialist position at EG4 Electronics?
The Regional Business Development Specialist is both a hunter and nurturer role, working to increase sales across distribution, direct and end-user channels. The
regional business development manager is responsible for all sales revenue, growth and new business development within their assigned region. A successful
regional business development manager will be able to manage and increase EG4 sales within their assigned territory across all distribution channels in their
assigned territory as well as drive new business into those distribution channels by either nurturing and growing existing EPC/Installer sales relationships and/or by
incremental new business into the distribution channel by onboarding and growing new EPC/Installer accounts. The regional business development manager will
also be responsible for selling to and increasing sales revenue to any direct EPC/Installer accounts or qualifying and onboarding new EPC/Installer direct sales
opportunities and sales revenue if the account qualifies for a direct sales opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Increase sales revenue in respective region as measured by total sales in that region, to be measured on the regional scorecard
- Manage and filter through inbound leads and qualify those prospects
- Identify, qualify and close business opportunities with new accounts who are not yet in the EG4 customer network
- Increase sales and drive revenue across existing distribution and EPC/Installer accounts in that respective region
- Provide sales training and technical sales training to accounts on a regularly scheduled basis
- Onboarding EPCs/Installers into the EG4 Elite Installer Program
- Provide excellent customer service through your technical and business acumen and support customer
Expectations
- Willingness to work cross functionally across the sales department and other departments when needed
- Travel approximately 50% of time in assigned region working to drive new business and increase sales
- Strong organizational and daily planning skills
- Strong sales acumen or proven sales track record
- The ability to learn the technical aspects of our products
- The ability to play both a “hunter” and “nurturer” sales-based role
