EGA Inspection is seeking a skilled, certified (InterNACHI), and detail-oriented  Home Inspector  to join our dynamic and expanding team. As a full-time Home Inspector, you will play a crucial role in evaluating residential properties, ensuring their condition, safety, and compliance. Your responsibilities will include thorough inspections of structural components, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC, pools, lateral line sewers, pre-drywall installations, and mold air quality assessments. You’ll assess all aspects of the home, identify any damages or repairs needed, and provide comprehensive reports that offer critical insights, empowering home buyers and sellers to make informed decisions.

Compensation : 75,000

Responsibilities :

  • Respond to clients’ inquiries quickly to keep them informed and provide superb customer service
  • Draft a comprehensive report, with photographs, to help home buyers and sellers understand exactly what the inspection revealed
  • Plan with the real estate agent and the homeowner to gain access to the property for inspection
  • Assess the property to see if any damages exist or repairs are needed in the home, such as an update to the roofing, HVAC units, security systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, structural components, or other building code updates
  • Make detailed notes for each home system so that the buyer and seller are both aware of every potential problem on the property
  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential properties, including exteriors, interiors, roofs, foundations, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of previous work experience conducting home inspections or working in construction field
  • Familiar with basic computer software and use of email technology
  • Attention to detail is critical in the role for both inspections and for reporting purposes
  • Must have solid customer service skills and communication abilities, verbally and in written form
  • Must have working knowledge of basic home systems including plumbing, HVAC units, electrical, and security alarms
  • Has no problem with heights or confined spaces; able to evaluate roofs, crawl spaces, and attics
  • Current U.S. driver’s license and the ability to travel by car
  • Strong multitasking skills and organizational skills
  • InterNACHI certified CPI or CMI
