Job Overview:
The Landscape Maintenance and Mow Foreman is responsible for overseeing and performing routine landscape maintenance tasks, with a primary focus on mowing, trimming, and edging turf areas. This role also includes performing spring and fall cleanups for residential and commercial properties. The Foreman leads a crew, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and manage a crew of 2-4 members, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Provide clear instructions and training to ensure proper execution of maintenance tasks.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Turf Maintenance:
- Oversee and perform mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup of turf areas to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Ensure proper operation and adjustment of mowers and trimming equipment for optimal turf care.
- Identify and report any issues with turf health or site conditions.
- Seasonal Property Cleanups:
- Perform spring and fall cleanups, including debris removal, leaf cleanup, and preparation of turf areas for seasonal transitions.
- Ensure properties are left in clean and orderly condition after each cleanup service.
- Equipment Management:
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and ready for use each day.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Report any equipment issues to the appropriate manager for repair or replacement.
- Job Planning and Preparation:
- Review daily job schedules and ensure the crew is prepared with the necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
- Communicate with the Landscape Maintenance Project Manager or General Project Manager to address any challenges or changes to the schedule.
- Timekeeping and Reporting:
- Track and record crew hours and job progress using the company’s timekeeping system.
- Submit accurate daily reports, including site conditions, completed tasks, and any client interactions.
- Client Interaction:
- Serve as the on-site representative of the company, addressing minor client inquiries and requests.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering quality work and maintaining professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, with a focus on mowing, trimming, and turf care.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Knowledge of seasonal cleanup practices and turf care best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Reporting Schedule:
- Daily: Submit timekeeping and progress updates through the company’s reporting system.
Weekly: Review crew performance, job completion, and any challenges with management.
Compensation:
Starting pay $26.00 per hour plus incentives and bonuses
