Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership
- Supervise and lead irrigation crews on installations, maintenance, and repair projects.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing updates to the Irrigation Division Manager.
2. Technical Expertise
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex irrigation system issues, including valves, pumps, sprinklers, and controllers.
- Program and configure irrigation controllers and automation systems for optimal performance.
- Install and troubleshoot 2-wire, multi-strand, and conventional wire irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality.
- Ensure all irrigation systems are designed and maintained with a focus on efficiency and water conservation.
3. Customer Interaction
- Act as the on-site representative for Egan Landscape Group, addressing client questions and concerns professionally.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades, repairs, or modifications to enhance performance.
- Maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality service and communication.
4. Quality Assurance
- Inspect work sites to ensure proper installation and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Conduct final checks and tests on systems before project handoff to clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
5. Team Development
- Train and mentor junior technicians to foster skill development and team cohesion.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols among the crew.
- Collaborate with the Irrigation Division Manager on personnel needs and performance feedback.
6. Equipment and Inventory
- Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in excellent working condition.
- Ensure necessary materials and supplies are available for each project and report inventory needs.
Qualifications:
1. Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, or repair.
2. Leadership
- Proven experience supervising or leading a team in a related field.
3. Technical Skills
- Strong Knowledge of irrigation systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and programming.
- Familiarity with modern irrigation controllers, sensors, and automation technology.
- Expertise in working with 2-wire, multi-strand, and conventional wire irrigation systems.
4. Certifications
- Certifications from the Irrigation Association (e.g., Certified Irrigation Technician) are a plus.
- DOT Medical Card (required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Class 2A Hoisting License (preferred).
5. Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
