What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Porter (Cleaner) position at eGenesis?
COMPANY MISSION
At eGenesis, we aspire to deliver safe and effective human transplantable cells, tissue and organs utilizing the latest advancements in genome editing.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the breakroom, bathrooms and showers in the eGenesis swine production facility. You will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, restocking supplies. You will work closely with the other members of the site Operations team and Animal Care staff to help and support wherever possible.
\n- Cleaning common areas: Mopping and sweeping floors in breakroom, bathrooms, showers and entryway
- Clean staff kitchenette area, including sink, counters, and windows
- Clean and sanitizing restrooms and showers
- Regularly emptying trash cans and recycling bins throughout the building
- Launder scrubs and towels, fold and restock showers
- Reporting issues: Identifying and reporting maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Customer service: Be a great team member and support other staff members at the site wherever possible
- Inventory, order, receive and stock supplies as needed
- Other tasks as necessary
- Attention to detail and observant
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
- Pleasant and positive attitude
- Good communication skills to report issues and interact with building occupants

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position operates in multiple environments including office environment, laboratory environment, and farm environment (may be required to use hazardous chemicals, cleaning fecal matter, and operating in dusty environments).
