Ocean Import Specialist

Your Tasks

• As a personal contact for our customers, you are responsible for the entire process of handling our ocean import shipments.
• You take care of our daily tracking and tracing and status information updates.
• You communicate events proactively to our customers – if scheduled or unexpected it makes no difference. This includes also to provide the right documentations at the right timing.
• The billing of shipments and win/loss analysis are part of your work.
• You schedule and monitor deliveries to make sure that our customers’ due dates are met.
• You are responsible to verify customs clearance status of our shipments.
• For our customers and their supplier base – you always have a helping hand. You communicate permanently with our international branches and partners which are located worldwide.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• You have professional experience and know-how in handling ocean freight.
• Quality service and satisfied customers, whether internal or external, are important to you.
• You have a passion for logistics and love the exciting world of global trade.
• Experience on AS400 is beneficial but not required.
• Knowledge of German or Spanish is helpful, but not a must.
