Our interstate law firm has a full-time, litigation associate attorney position available in Texas and in California for a candidate with five years or more experience in complex civil litigation. We seek an associate experienced in taking and defending depositions, composing and arguing summary judgment and other motions and who is prepared to handle every aspect of our matters. Trial experience in the first or second chair should be highlighted in cover letters.
Compensation:$145,000 - $225,000
Responsibilities:- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy development
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation plans and tactics
- Manage case files, deadlines, and document production in compliance with legal standards
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- Successful completion of the Texas Bar exam
- Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar
- Effective writer with attention to detail
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills
