Diet Office Clerk - NMCP - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for a full time Diet Office Clerk who will m anages all office activities. Performs business functions and professional administrative and secretarial support. Assists and supports staff that is providing rehabilitation to individuals with disabilities. Applicants must have the availability to work Sunday - Saturday 5:00AM - 6:00PM 30-36 hours per week.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1. Manages the day to day operational needs of the office by:

  • Maintaining an adequate inventory of office supplies

  • Overseeing functioning of copiers, printers, and computers, coordinating repairs

  • Submitting orders for printing services, or other services.

  • Serving as a liaison with other departments and operating units in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems.

Provides the following business functions and direct assistance to customers:

  • Assisting with facilitating customer deliveries

  • Processing receipt of production supplies and invoicing

Provides professional administrative support for multiple members of the management team and other staff by

  • Assisting with multi-media projects that could include visual presentation materials, professional correspondence, board reports

  • Establishing, maintaining, and updating files, databases, records, and/or other documents; Performing routine analyses and calculations in the processing of data for recurring internal reports.

Provides secretarial support for the department/division such as

  • Answering telephones, routing calls to appropriate persons

  • Responding to inquiries from the general public regarding the corporation, and referring callers to the appropriate person or division.

  • Sorting, reviewing, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail

Performs other such duties as assigned.


Work Environment:

Work is primarily office based but occasionally involves travel to other local locations and agencies.

Qualifications:

Associates Degree, or any combination of equivalent education and experience, to include customer service duties and office management. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software applications and typing required. Acceptable driving record, criminal background clearance, including military's background clearance, and drug screening required. Must have reliable transportation.

Free of tuberculosis in a communicable form. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, and sit for extended periods of time. Able to communicate orally and in writing. Dexterity, vision, and hearing sufficient to operate computers, and other equipment.

Knowledge of:

  • General office procedures and equipment

  • Customer services standards and practices

  • Microsoft Office software applications

Skill in:

  • Organizing, managing, and prioritizing multiple tasks

  • Using a computer to perform work duties

  • Operating and troubleshooting office equipment

  • Communicating effectively orally and in writing

Ability to:

  • Utilize critical thinking process to facilitate decision-making.

  • Meet standards set for the quality and timeliness of work.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within Eggleston’s corporate structure, with outside vendors/contractors and with families/caregivers.

  • Work independently with minimal direct supervision.

  • Exercise good judgment

  • Quickly learn and utilize multiple software applications
