Food Service Worker - Oceana - Full Ti me - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for a part-time Food Service Worker who can p erform janitorial tasks and dishwashing. Assists with preparing food. Work schedule includes some weekends and holidays. Saturday through Sunday 5:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The position must be filled by an individual with a documented disability.
- Wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, and empty trash
- Bus and clean tables
- Clean kitchen and dining areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, and bathrooms
- Assist with assembling food for serving lines
- Follow all procedures and safety regulations and promptly report accidents, critical incidents, and injuries
- Work as a team with others to ensure efficient program operation
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:
The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:
- Related experience preferred
- Clearance through criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screening required. Must be able to obtain a food handler card and have a qualifying disability
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form
- Must be able to exert considerable effort, frequently lifting/moving up to 50lbs, bending, reaching, and squatting
- Must be able to stand for four or more hours
