Purpose
To greet guests with a warm and welcoming environment, to assist with any menu questions and to-go orders.
Essential Job Functions
Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Extend a warm and friendly greeting to all guest.
- Explain menu items and answer product question as raised by guest
- Take food and drink orders from guest accurately and with a positive attitude
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests
- Relay the correct order to kitchen personnel or staff
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner
- Package food and drinks for the guest in a timely manner
- Complete all side work which includes various cleaning tasks (busing tables, rolling silverware, etc.)
- Support other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks as needed
- Must follow the guidelines stated in the grooming standards policy
- Communicate openly, timely and honestly with subordinates, superiors and all others about plans, progress and problems.
- To always be approachable, coach-able and have a good positive attitude
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
- Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
- Walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
- Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for:
- Making observations
- Communicating with others
- Reading and writing
