What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Writer position at Eglevsky Ballet?
A not-for-profit 501 c(3) organization is seeking a grant writer to research, develop, and submit grant applications to both private foundations and government agencies. Position requires collaboration, ingenuity, and dedication to increase support for and awareness of Eglevsky Ballet and our mission.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct prospect research on new opportunities which align with Eglevsky Ballet’s mission from private foundations, corporations, and government entities. Ideal candidate will continually seek new funding opportunities while maintaining relationships with previous funders.
· Execute all grant applications, manage grant timelines, follow up on all funding applications for the organization, and compose “thank you” letters to foundations and corporations.
· Develop and manage fiscal and annual grant proposal processes.
· Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and individual foundations’ requirements for grants.
· Work in partnership with Executive Artistic Director, program, finance, and other staff to ensure all activities related to grant data collection and reporting are smoothly implemented.
· Assist in preparation of materials for scheduled Board meetings and provide grant related documentation and/or data to the Board of Directors upon request.

· Outstanding organizational and computer proficiencies.
· Exceptional time-management abilities.
· Proven ability to multi-task and work through overlapping deadlines.

· Must be local to the NY/Long Island area.
· Provision of references from three, currently registered, 501 c(3) organizations required.
Schedule: Remote work on your preferred schedule with availability for scheduled in-person meetings. Timely replies to phone calls and emails during business hours expected.
