Job Title : Shipping Coordinator

Reports To : EGM Transportation
Working With : All Management and Employees at Customer Facility
Position Overview :
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team at our customer's facility in Montgomery, IL. The Shipping Clerk will report directly to EGM Transportation but will collaborate closely with all management and employees onsite. This role involves ensuring shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, as well as maintaining proper documentation and supporting all shipping-related activities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate shipping records, including tracking / shipping history and entering tracking info into the system.
- Scan shipping lists and BOLs (Bills of Lading) into the system for record-keeping.
- Work with customers, carriers, and Inside Sales to ensure orders ship correctly and on time.
- Assemble shipping lists, assign order statuses, and print labels as needed.
- Route orders and ensure correct customs documentation for international shipments.
- Complete customs invoices and ensure they are accurately filled out.
- Collaborate with drivers to ensure all shipping paperwork is complete and correct.
- Review the daily Prepaid Orders Report for accuracy and notify the Credit Department of any discrepancies before invoicing.
- Assist other locations with shipping-related inquiries or concerns.
- Participate in self-development by being receptive to training opportunities provided by the company.
- Plan daily activities in alignment with company policies and supervisor’s instructions to maximize productivity.
