The Sr. Manager, Solutions Engineering leads an elite sales engineering team responsible for pioneering the success of Egnyte cloud-based collaboration, security and governance solutions. The SE Manager not only leads the team but is directly involved in high impact deals across a range of global opportunities. Additionally, they work closely with existing and prospective customers and our engineering teams on product design, deployment, and development of future product capabilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- As a Sr. Solutions Engineering Manager you will play a key leadership role in the Egnyte Revenue Organization
- Your responsibilities will be to lead a regional team of Sales Engineers who identify customer pain points, uncover new opportunities, develop solutions, present the Egnyte value benefits and address any technical objections
- You should be highly competent in coaching and guiding the team to develop a winning technical sales strategy
- Engage directly with Sales Leadership to provide support for pre-sales activities across all Egnyte solutions
- Ensure that your team is enabled to support all required Egnyte products and solutions along with required sales/soft skills
- Deliver annual performance reviews while assisting SE's with building out and executing their individual development plans
- Conduct regular 1:1’s with team members to provide constructive feedback and skills development
- Work cross-functionally with support, product management, engineering, and other organizations to ensure alignment with the field, provide process and product feedback and resolve critical customer situations
- Interact directly with customers and prospects in support of your team
- Develop a close working relationship with Solutions to ensure alignment between pre- and post-sales activities
- Deliver presentations and technical briefings to customers on Egnyte products
- Assist and manage with critical Egnyte evaluations and POC's
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of experience in a pre-sales role working for a SaaS company
- 3 years leading or managing a team
- Strong business acumen with a focus on seeing the “big picture” and relating Egnyte technology to solving business problems
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Professional Services, Product Management, Product Marketing and Customer Success
- Ability to perform value-led demos in front of both technical and business focused audiences
- Knowledge of security, cloud and web related technologies is required
- Ability to quickly digest and respond to complex information in an appropriate manner
- Very comfortable interacting with business and technical focused contacts both inside and outside the company
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable keeping up with technology trends in security and SaaS solutions
- Open, curious, and receptive to new ideas and ways of doing things
COMPENSATION:
- Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $120 - $175k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
