Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and physical education, with experience in teaching and mentoring students. This role involves leading training sessions, developing athletes' skills, and fostering a positive and encouraging environment for all participants. The Coach will work closely with students of various ages, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a love for physical activity.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging training sessions that focus on skill development in various sports including Karate, Judo, Basketball, and swimming.
- Provide instruction in physical education principles and techniques to enhance students' athletic performance.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Organize and supervise practice sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Foster teamwork and sportsmanship among participants, encouraging collaboration and respect.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding training schedules, progress updates, and any concerns.
- Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe training environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with students in a coaching or educational role is preferred.
- Strong background in one or more sports such as Karate, Judo, Basketball, or swimming is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of physical education concepts and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in lifeguarding or related safety certifications is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed for practices or events.
- A passion for promoting health, fitness, and well-being among children and youth.
