Come join a growing multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers designing the next generation nuclear power plant. We are seeking a SmartPlant 3D Electrical Designer for immediate hire. The Designer must be eager to learn new skills to create feasible / practical solutions to challenging design problems. The Engineer will be part of a team executing a U.S. Government cost-shared development program requiring efficient completion of engineering assignments. Must have SmartPlant 3D experience.

Job Description & Responsibilities :
Utilizing Smart3D (formerly SmartPlant 3D) to create 3D electrical models of the electrical systems within and supporting the plant, including but not limited to single line diagrams, cable trays & cable tray supports, raceways, lighting, duct banks, cable routing, pull boxes, and embedded conduit
- Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure accuracy, and resolution of interferences
- Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure constructability, accuracy, and absence of interferences
- Developing and checking design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards.
- Building relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively
Minimum Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of experience as a SmartPlant 3D Electrical Designer
Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards, and design and / or layout criteria
Strong knowledge of electrical drafting and design standards and techniques
Excellent attention to detail and capability of producing error-free documents
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills
Optional Additional Qualifications :
Working understanding and hands on experience of other design software, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and Revit
Completion of Intergraph / Hexagon certified training courses
Professional certification in Electrical design
Progressive work experience in design or other relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering / construction firms.
