What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Sourcing Engineer position at EGYM GmbH?
Your daily workout
- You assume overall strategic responsibility for the commodity of purchased parts (such as : welded steel components, drive systems, electronic components, and more).
- You develop the North American supplier strategy and selection in collaboration with the team, and determine timelines for the onboarding and ramp-up of new suppliers.
- You take responsibility for the hands-on management and development of multiple suppliers and acting with autonomy and ownership, you will become the face of our team and ally to suppliers / partners.
- You negotiate our contracts, build partnerships and be the first point of contact for our suppliers regarding engineering, development, costs, quality, availability, shipping, and more.
- You work closely with the development team in Germany and North America on the introduction of new parts to reduce costs and complexity.
- You are familiar with alternative material sourcing to ensure uninterrupted production.
- You are open to continuous learning of new technical areas that support global needs. This role will change over time and flexibility and energy is important for shifting needs.
