What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accounting Associate position at Egyptian American Enterprise Fund?
About the role:
This is a private equity accounting role. Candidate must have private equity experience, preferably from a fund administrator. The candidate will report directly to the firm’s CFO. EAEF is a small firm and is seeking a collegial candidate who enjoys interaction and working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements for audit and coordination with auditors for all required documentation
- Monthly and quarter-end closing of Funds including NAV calculation, P&L and carried interest allocations
- Compliance program maintenance
- All treasury functions
- Preparation of quarterly reporting for Board of Directors
- Ad hoc reporting
Candidate requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years’ Private Equity accounting experience is required
- Individual will have interactions with Board of Directors, our Egyptian partners, and US government officials
- Points for being familiar with and passionate about Egypt
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Etc.)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
