Role Description
This is a full-time, part-time internship on-site Electronics Technician role located in Tuscaloosa, AL. The Electronics Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronics systems. Tasks may include soldering, testing, and analyzing circuits to ensure operational functionality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Travel Required.
- Familiarity with AC 120V/240V standards and AC to DC conversion modules.
- Ability to drive company vehicles, including towing both small and large trailers.
- Experience in Electronics Technology and Electricity
- Proficiency in Soldering techniques
- Strong Troubleshooting skills
- Background in Maintenance & Repair of electronic systems
- Knowledge of Circuit Analysis
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Associate degree in Electronics or related field for full time
- Working on an associate degree or equivalent for internship
- All levels may perform other functions such as moving parts/material, loading/unloading, sweeping, cleaning, and various other assignments as needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- The employee will frequently climb, kneel crouch, and/or balance.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Experience with commonly used hand, power, and crimping tools
Preferred Additional Skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610, CompTIA A )
- Experience in inventory control and laboratory upkeep
- Ability to read and understand complex PCB schematics, cable assembly drawings, and test procedures, without the need to have detailed assembly instructions.
