Position Overview
This homebased position, with both local and national travel, offers a unique opportunity for food safety professionals who aspire to become industry leaders, subject matter experts, and trusted consultants.
As a Corporate Food Safety Consultant, you will play a key role in helping to lead food service and food manufacturing organizations in upholding the highest standards of food safety and public health. Working independently and collaborating with diverse teams, you will provide expert guidance, conduct HACCP-based inspections, and deliver tailored food safety solutions.

Regular travel within the assigned state and national region is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct HACCP-based inspections of retail food establishments to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and client standards.
- Provide expert consulting services in food safety practices and compliance to clients.
- Develop and deliver food safety education and training programs.
- Collaborate with clients to support HACCP plan development and special processes/variances.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and communicate findings effectively.
- Possess in-depth knowledge and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the FDA Food Code, food safety principles/regulations, HACCP principles and industry best practices.
Minimum Educational and Professional Qualifications
- BA degree in a science-related field.
- National or State Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS), Registered Sanitarian (RS) or Licensed Environmental Health Specialist credential with at least 2 years of inspection experience, OR Certified Professional in Food Safety (CP-FS) certification with at least 4 years of inspectional experience, with the ability to obtain a National or State REHS within twelve (12) months of hire.
- Experience in retail food safety or food processing/manufacturing inspections is required.
- Must be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background check.
