Job summary
Provide patient focused care within the Home Medical Equipment department. Greet and provide pharmacy customers with quality customer service through locating merchandise, dropping off and picking up of prescriptions.
Summary of essential job functions:
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Provide essential customer service.
- Greet and assist patients with products and prescriptions.
- Manage prescription pickup time frame.
- Accept prescription orders from doctor’s offices except when prohibited by laws.
CLERICAL
- Complete sales orders for patients.
- Review and communicate prescription information upon request.
- Bag and file prescriptions in appropriate destination.
- Comply with HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
- Provides clerical assistance for the Home Medical Equipment department.
- Performs Administrative duties for the Home Medical Equipment department as assigned.
- Manages incoming and outgoing communication through the multi-line telephone system, fax, email, or face to face contact with patients, physicians, and referral sources.
- Maintains positive relationships with patients, physicians, and referral sources.
- Assists and provides information to patients, physicians, and referral sources on equipment, supplies, and services.
- Correctly assess, fit and demonstrate equipment for patients.
- Accurately obtain appropriate insurance information and requirements from patients, physicians, and referral sources.
- Maintains and updates patient’s information accurately.
- Exhibits knowledge of the various functions of all equipment, supplies, and services.
- Correctly processes orders and delivery receipts.
- Assists with the preparation of the delivery schedule.
- Provides a contact source for different programs within the Home Medical Equipment department.
- Previous Brightree Software Experience a plus.
RECEIVING
- Receive, label, and distribute pharmaceutical supplies and medications.
- Follow corporate policy on purchasing procedures.
- Coordinate transfers between locations, as needed.

ABILITIES

- Ability to stand for four hour periods between breaks.
- Ability to lift a fifty pound maximum.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
