In this role, you will provide exceptional service by inspecting, diagnosing, and maintaining diesel equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, end dumps, and more. Whether working on-site or in the shop, your efforts will be essential in keeping our equipment running smoothly and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections and service on heavy machinery
- Clean and maintain machines, removing and reinstalling parts as necessary
- Lubricate and oil moving parts to ensure smooth performance
- Identify and report worn, damaged, or broken parts for repair or replacement
- Order and install replacement parts to keep equipment in top condition
- Troubleshoot and diagnose the causes of unexpected breakdowns, repairing machines quickly and efficiently
- Document and report work performed, including repairs and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, parts, and equipment
- Coordinate with management to schedule maintenance and ensure equipment readiness
- Work closely with the equipment manager to review new products and necessary modifications
- Implement modifications, test equipment, and make adjustments based on test results
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a Clean Drivingrecord
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting up more than 15lbs, and working in various conditions
- Field and/or shop experience preferred
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to service machinery
- Ability to lift and carry more than 15pounds
- Overtime pay after 40 hours
