EHC is currently looking for a Bridges & Structures Design Coordinator Lead for a client located in Lake Charles, LA.
Position Purpose/Summary
The Bridges & Structures Design Coordinator Lead is committed to supporting our client by leading Bridges and Structures Design Management of the project.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Bridges and Structures Design Management of the project.
- Responsible for the Bridges and Structures Design team during the execution stage.
- Implements the Project Design Management Plan and all those plans related to the technical part of the same that are required by the contract with the Client.
- Coordinates with Client and other third parties to resolve discipline-related technical issues to obtain final approval of the design.
- Establishes, monitors, and maintains a realistic design schedule with deliverables necessary to satisfy contract, procurement, and construction requirements.
- Identifies, manages, and assists in the preparation of proposals for design alternatives that are beneficial for the project.
- Manages all contracts related to the Design: Main Designer, Independent Design Reviewer (IDV) and Temporary Works related to the discipline.
- Provides contractual support from a technical point of view to other project contracts: contracting support, technical interface with specialized subcontractors, technical disputes, etc.
- Identifies technical risks and participates in the preparation of risk reports.
- Participates in the review of the Project budget forecasts, providing the necessary technical part for its realization.
- Establishes and implements the design management strategy and other technical procedures for the project.
- Support in the execution stage (project assistance team to resolve nonconformities, RFI with designers and unexpected events during construction).
- Collaborates within the technical department, as well as with other departments.
- Advises/participates in the formalization of contracts with engineering companies.
- Guarantees the correct transmission of design information to the entire project team.
- Manages the technical claims of the project related to the discipline.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
At a minimum, the Bridges & Structures Design Lead Coordinator must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or equivalent field of study, along with 10 years of engineering related experience with a focus on bridges and structures. A Louisiana Professional Engineer (PE) License as well as experience with design build contracts and working in a multi-cultural environment is preferred.
At a minimum, the Bridges & Structures Design Lead Coordinator must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or equivalent field of study, along with 10 years of engineering related experience with a focus on bridges and structures. Position Location: Lake Charles, LA
Compensation Range: $86,000 – $133,000/year, DOE
Position Type: Full-Time; Exempt
Relocation: Assistance is available and will vary based on position, location, etc. This position is required to be on-site; therefore, no remote or hybrid schedule is available.
Bonus: No bonus structure is available, at this time.

Schedule: Typically, Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p, with ability to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, as needed based on business operations and needs.
