EHC is currently looking for an Entry Level Business Development/Outside Sales Representative for a client located in the Charlotte, NC area.
Job Summary:
The Client is in search of high-character teammates to add to our Business Development group. We strive to build relationships externally and internally within our family owned and operated business. Business Development representatives are on the road each day, meeting with valued customers, visiting job sites, and building relationships with key customers to ensure continued success. Our Business Development team consists of self-starters with strong problem-solving skills, positive attitudes, mechanical aptitude, and a drive to succeed and communicate effectively with a diverse customer base as well as the members of their team. As a key member of the Business Development Team, you will focus on developing multi-market business in your given territory, increasing market penetration and revenue with our full Pipe, Valve, and Flange offering.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain relationships.
- Monthly travels – 8 nights a month minimum
- Develop a complete understanding of all product lines.
- Remain knowledgeable of company’s products, procedures, market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
- Manage a regional territory.
- Maintain current knowledge and job skills - advising management of any training needs.
- Always project professionalism and promote the Client's established reputation in the marketplace.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Weekly CRM entries on activities, market information, weekly travel schedules, quarterly travels schedules, and expenses.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven history of sales experience selling “value added” products/services; related to the commercial construction industry, PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings) or mechanical products.
- Ability to develop and nurture long standing relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional image. Bi-lingual gets preferred interviewing status.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work in a virtual setting with minimal supervision.
