What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at EHC?
EHC is currently looking for a Material Handler/Shop Helper for a client located in Southwest Houston.
Hours: 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Job Summary:
Perform an array of functions to assist machine shop personnel.
Job Description:
- Assist with upkeep of robotic machines; consisting of adding coolant and oil
- Load and unload finished pieces from robotic machines
- Placing finished materials on pallets for shipment
- Keeping shop floor clean at all times
- Assisting shipping department
- Observe necessary safety precautions
- Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
- Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
Qualifications:
- Experience operating a forklift
- Stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation
- Positive attitude and a good team member
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work outdoors in all adverse weather conditions: extreme heat and cold
- Ability to complete the physical aspects of the job including long period of standing, bending, twisting, walking, lifting, repetitive climbing, etc.
- Willing to reliably fulfill the designated work schedule inclusive of overtime
