Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our fast paced office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to analyze financial data effectively. The Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
- Perform technical accounting tasks including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger accounting.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance with securities law requirements.
- Analyze financial data to forecast future revenues and expenses.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies regarding financial transactions.
Experience
- Proficient with the latest version of Enterprise Quick Books
- Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on technical accounting, tax, bank reconciliation and the proper use of General Journals
- Manage company payroll, payroll taxes, State L & I, Employment Security and Family Leave
- Working knowledge of Washington State online B & O system and how to file returns
- Working knowledge of Office 365 products
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting and accounts receivable management is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for success in this role.
