Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM & on-call rotation requirements.

Position: Nurse Unit Manager
Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM & on-call rotation requirements.
Job Requirements:
Licensure/Education: LPN or RN
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in State of Michigan
- BSN or associated Health Care degree preferred
- 2 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility
- 1 year experience in supervisory role
- Nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Other: Basic computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Oversight of and coordination of care for the facility’s long-term care resident population, including supervision of the nurses and CNAs who work on the long-term care units.
- Participate in daily IDT meetings, resident care conferences, and other daily/weekly meetings as necessary.
- Assist in the development of preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each client ensuring care plan development that is individualized for each client’s needs.
- Assist in developing and monitoring staff skill and competency in meeting care needs.
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the clinical services team.
- Determine the appropriate staffing levels for the census and acuity level provided.
- Communication with residents and families to ensure high levels of satisfaction are maintained, as well as to receive and resolve grievances that occur.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize & problem solve

- Strong organizational, communication & conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as apart of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent observation and assessment skills
