EHS Business Solutions, a Chicago-located, leading restaurant focused, Accounting and Advisory firm is looking for an experienced Restaurant Accountant able to work with multiple restaurant clients. Our team is made up of fun-loving, hard-working individuals who have a passion for providing sound accounting services to small and medium sized, independently owned restaurants.

Duties Include
• Reconciliation of POS sales and deposit activities
• Payroll review & posting
• Accounts Payable
• Sales Tax Calculation and Filings
• Bank reconciliations
• General Ledger journal entries
• Account reconciliations
• Period Close
• Preparation/review/analysis of weekly & monthly reports
• Cash Forecasting
• Some on-site work may be requested
Experience and Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of restaurant accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree/CPA or Graduate degree a plus
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Extensive experience with data entry, general ledger functions and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail
• Candidate should be able to multitask and work independently with the expectation of providing quality, accurate work in a timely manner.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to enthusiastically work with restaurant management and ownership. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are imperative.
• QuickBooks Online and/or Restaurant 365 Accounting Software experience
• Experience with reporting from various Point of Sales (POS) Toast POS experience a plus
